Growing up we learned that when we made a mistake, we needed to correct it or live with it. Fortunately, that’s a life lesson that still holds true. Why waste time on regret when you can have a do-over? That’s the idea behind Color Reverse, the safe, easy, and effective way to remove permanent hair color.
Color Reverse works without any of the harmful ingredients that can damage hair during the removal of permanent hair dye. Ammonia-free, bleach-free, paraben-free, and peroxide-free, the powerful formula works to break down color molecules in 20 minutes, giving you a clean slate to apply a hair color that’s perfect for you. It will not reverse your hair to its natural shade.
Mistakes Happen
Whether it has been a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks since you chose your current hair color, Color Reverse is all you need to gently reverse the last application of oxidative color. Oxidative color is created when permanent hair color is mixed with developer. As the color oxidizes on each strand, the cuticle expands and swells the hair shaft as it deposits the new color into the cortex. Color Reverse shrinks color molecules and washes them out of the hair so that you can apply a hair color that is better suited to your personality immediately following the process.
Rinse and Repeat
It’s imperative that you follow directions when using Color Reverse. While the application of the product remains on the hair for 20 minutes, it requires multiple shampoos and rinsing for long intervals to be the most effective.
To begin, mix well in a non-metallic bowl for 30 seconds. Wearing gloves, apply liberally and evenly to clean and dry hair to avoid patches, focusing on color to be removed. For optimal results, apply quickly, avoiding cold rooms or processing near cool vents or fans. Warmth helps the product fully process.
With shampoo and warm water, rinse for 20 minutes. Shampoo again, then rinse for at least five additional minutes. The longer you continue to rinse, the better your end results will be. If the product is not fully rinsed out, color molecules remain in the hair, which can cause it to revert back to the unwanted color.
Condition the hair after application or use a hair mask to rehydrate the hair and help eliminate any lingering product scent.
The More You Know
Color Reverse doesn’t work with semi-permanent color and direct dyes. Bold, bright hair color requires patience, removing slowly with clarifying shampoo.
